Londonthorpe
This woodland lies to the west of Londonthorpe Village. It overlooks the Lincolnshire market town of Grantham and parkland surrounding Belton House. The existing woodland is a mixture of sycamore, beech, oak, ash and sweet chestnut. The new woodland area has been planted mainly with native broad-leaved species such as qak and ash, among shrubs such as hazel, hawthorn and guelder rose. The meadows will provide an essential habitat for wild flowers, which should attract insects and butterflies to the area.
