Formonthills
In a commanding position overlooking the northwestern edge of Glenrothes, there are panoramic views across the Firth of Fourth from Rhind Hill, the highest point on the site. The Woodland Trust will plant Scots pine and birch near the top of the hill, ash and beech in the more sheltered areas. A network of grassy paths have been created to form circular walks of various lengths. There is also a bridle path and picnic area. You may catch a glimpse of foxes, rabbits, hares and a large diversity of bird life. There is a large population of roe deer and it is hoped a variety of wildlife will be attracted to the area as the wood develops.
